Basically if you are using detected hacks, and a player suspects you of cheating, they can report you and the hack will be seen by GMod devs/Valve. They can and will ban you if you continue.

if you're talking about gmod then you won't get a VAC ban on your profile or any other ban it's just server bans so that means that admins or server anticheats can easily pick up the cheat and ban u
