No vac bans for gmod, you can only get banned form individual servers.

Garry's Mod hasn't used VAC since it was created, despite them saying the servers are banned
The worst thing is you'll get server banned if you use detected hacks

VAC Stands for Valve Anti-Cheat so yes, valve can and will ban you for cheating on specific games. If said game doesn't have VAC activated, like gmod, there's no way you can get VAC'd.
